4x Organic Traffic Without an Agency

3-step process for beginners

The 10-Hour SEO Sprint

Most founders think SEO = months of keyword research and link building.

Wrong.

There are levels to it.

Initial SEO = fixing what Google already wants to rank you for (but can't because your site is a mess).

Here's the 10-hour plan:

Hour 1-2: Find Your Low-Hanging Fruit

Open Google Search Console → Performance tab → Filter "Position 11-20"

These are pages that Google wants to rank but aren't quite there yet.

Why this works: Pages on page 2 need a tiny push to hit page 1. That's where the traffic is.

What to do:

  • Export all pages ranking 11-20

  • Sort by impressions (highest first)

  • Pick the top 5 pages with most impressions

Those 5 pages are your targets. See below example from ligosocial.com 

Hour 3-5: Upgrade Your Content

For each of those 5 pages, do this:

  1. Check what's ranking #1-3 for that keyword

    • Open the top 3 results

    • Note what they cover that you don't

    • Add those sections to your page (but better)

      (You’d need to first find the keywords these pages are ranking for by the way).

  2. Make your title/headers irresistible

    • Does your title make someone want to click?

    • If not, rewrite it (keep the keyword)

    • Example: "LinkedIn Tips" → "7 LinkedIn Tricks That Got Me 10K Followers in 30 Days"

  3. Add a featured image with alt text

    • Google loves images with keyword-rich alt text

    • Make it visual, not stock photos

Why this works: You're giving Google what it wants (better content than what's ranking) and users what they want (clickable titles).

Backlinks = other sites linking to you. Google loves this.

The lazy way to get backlinks:

  1. Go to Reddit

    • Find subreddits where your target audience hangs out

    • Search for questions your article answers

    • Drop a helpful comment + link to your article

    • (Don't be spammy - actually help first)

  2. Go to Quora

    • Same thing: find questions, write helpful answers, link your article

    • Quora links are nofollow but Google still counts them as "votes"

  3. Reach out to 5 bloggers in your niche

    • "Hey, I wrote this article on [topic]. Thought you might find it useful for your audience."

    • No pitch. Just value.

Why this works: Google sees other sites mentioning you = you must be legit.

Hour 9-10: Internal Linking Blitz

This is the most underrated SEO tactic.

What to do:

  • Go through your existing blog posts

  • Find any mention of topics related to your 5 target pages

  • Add internal links from those posts to your target pages

  • Use keyword-rich anchor text (eg. "LinkedIn growth tactics" not "click here")

Why this works: Internal links tell Google which pages are important. More links = more importance.

The Results

What to expect after this 10-hour sprint:

  • 3-4 of your 5 target pages will jump to page 1 within 3 weeks

  • 3-4x traffic increase (sometimes more if you've been neglecting SEO)

  • Your best-performing pages will climb from page 2 to top 5 positions

(And you can do this solo, no agency, no "SEO guru" courses.)

The Catch

This sprint works IF:

  • You already have content (not starting from zero)

  • Your pages are ranking 11-20 (you need that foundation)

  • You're willing to actually improve your content (not just slap keywords everywhere)
